Access begins with an email and an activation code.

Administrators issue one-time NV codes. A user enters a code with an email address to create or reactivate an account—no credit card form is required in this flow.

Use an activation code

The current activation API limits an email to ten failed attempts before lockout.

For a new user

Open the access screen, enter the email address you intend to use for the account and submit your NV activation code. The code is case-normalized and checked server-side. On success, it is marked as used, the account becomes active and a server session is issued.

  • Codes have the form NV-XXXXXXXX
  • The eight characters exclude ambiguous zero and special characters
  • A successfully redeemed code cannot be reused

For an administrator

An administrator signs in with provisioned credentials and can issue a batch of codes. The plaintext values are returned once at creation; the database stores HMAC digests so they cannot be read back later. Keep the exported values in an approved secret store and share them only with intended recipients.

  • Revoke unused codes when they are exposed or no longer needed
  • Activation history is visible to administrators
  • A code is an access credential—treat it as a secret

Commercial status

The current flow does not collect card details and does not run a payment processor. That does not by itself define a purchase contract, price, refund policy, tax treatment or consumer rights. Those terms must be supplied and reviewed before paid public sales are represented on this site.

  • Do not share an unused code publicly
  • Contact the code issuer if the email was mistyped
  • After ten invalid attempts for an email, contact the administrator

Your first visit

Open Access workspace, choose Create account, and enter the address you intend to use, the one-time code you received and a new account password of at least 15 characters. On success the code is consumed, an account is created and you are signed in. The code issuer—not a credit-card form—controls who can receive an activation code.

  • Use an address you can continue to access
  • Choose an account password distinct from your vault passphrase
  • Keep the code private until you redeem it

Every visit after activation

Choose User sign in and enter the same email address and account password you set during activation. Your session is held in an HTTP-only cookie and expires; after signing out or expiry, sign in again. This account password authenticates your workspace and does not decrypt vault items, which use a separate passphrase.

  • Use a password manager for the account password
  • Do not use the vault passphrase as your account password
  • Ask the administrator for help if you lose account access

When something goes wrong

A code can fail because it has already been used, has been revoked, or does not match the supplied email flow. Ten invalid activation attempts lock activation for that email until an administrator reviews it. Normal sign-in has a separate temporary lockout after repeated failures. Support should never ask you to send a password, code or vault passphrase.

  • Check for typing errors before retrying
  • Do not keep guessing after an error
  • Share only a non-sensitive error description with support

Security is a workflow, not a label.
