Practical workflows for the secrets people actually handle.
Choose a generator according to where the value will be used, who owns it and how it will be recovered or revoked.
Explore the generatorsA password generator creates values; the target system remains responsible for access policy and lifecycle.
Personal accounts
Generate a unique password or a longer phrase for a service account. Save only what you need, use a trusted password manager, and enable MFA at the service. Do not use the same secret for email and another account; email is often the recovery root for other identities.
- Best fit: password or random-word passphrase
- Before use: check service limits and MFA options
- After exposure: rotate at the service, not only in this generator
Developer and operations work
Create a random API token or machine password, then register it in the platform that will authenticate it. Restrict scopes, assign an owner, define rotation and keep it out of commits and logs. Nuvquerio currently generates but does not provision or rotate the downstream token.
- Best fit: Base64url or hexadecimal secret
- Use the destination's secret manager
- Record ownership and expiry outside the plaintext value
Recovery and network setup
Generate recovery-code material for a destination service that supports it, or create a long Wi-Fi passphrase. Verify that the consuming system accepts the format. Recovery enforcement, device onboarding, key distribution and network policy are not performed by this page.
- Best fit: recovery-code batch or Wi-Fi passphrase
- Store recovery information apart from the protected device
- Use a separate guest network where appropriate
High-value cryptographic assets
Do not use a general-purpose website generator for treasury, signing or wallet secrets unless the exact algorithm, entropy source, custody design and recovery process have been independently validated. The current Nuvquerio interface does not generate blockchain or post-quantum keypairs.
- Use a hardware signer, audited wallet or managed HSM/MPC design
- Verify the algorithm and address with the official client
- Never paste a recovery seed into a website
A personal account, step by step
Imagine you have just registered for a new service. Generate a unique password, copy it directly to your password manager, then complete registration at that service. If you use Nuvquerio's vault instead, give the vault a separate passphrase and test that you can unlock the saved item before relying on it. Turn on MFA at the service itself.
- Do not save every generated value by default
- Keep the email account especially well protected
- Record the destination's own recovery options
A home network refresh
A Wi-Fi passphrase must work across devices with varied keyboards and input methods. Use a long distinct phrase accepted by your router, update the router configuration through its official interface, and reconnect devices intentionally. A generated string does not change router firmware, guest-network isolation or the default administrator password.
- Check length and accepted characters first
- Use a guest network for visitors or untrusted devices
- Change default router administration credentials separately
A developer's personal project
For a small project, a random machine token can reduce dependence on a human-created secret. Put it into the platform's secret store, restrict permissions and verify that logs, build output and repository history do not expose it. Nuvquerio creates a value; the service provider remains responsible for scope, expiry, validation and revocation.
- Use separate secrets for development and production
- Never paste a token into an issue or commit
- Rotate a token at the provider after suspected exposure
A moment to choose another tool
If the secret controls cryptocurrency, signing, device enrollment, identity recovery or a high-value production system, stop and use the purpose-built tool that defines those protocols. Convenience is not a reason to improvise a key ceremony. Nuvquerio's current standard keypairs are JWK output for browser-supported application use, not wallet key formats.
- Use audited software for wallet and signing material
- Verify the exact key format expected by the protocol
- Document custody and recovery before generating critical keys
Security is a workflow, not a label.
