Create recovery material. Store it like recovery material.
Generate a batch of independent 128-bit one-time-style codes for systems that already support recovery codes.
Create recovery codesThe app generates the values; the destination service must enforce one-time redemption.
What the generator does
Each code is generated from 16 random bytes and displayed in grouped hexadecimal form. You can request a batch of 4–20 codes. The generation page does not register the codes with another service, determine whether a code has been used or validate a recovery attempt.
- Create codes before enabling them at the destination
- Import or register them only through the official destination workflow
- Keep an offline copy in a physically protected place
What it does not do
A displayed batch is not automatically a recovery system. It does not bind codes to a user account, invalidate redeemed values or provide an identity check. Those are server-side responsibilities of the system consuming the codes.
- Do not claim that Nuvquerio enforces one-time use for generated recovery values
- Do not send recovery codes in email or chat
- Replace a batch if it may have been exposed
Before you close the page
Copy or save recovery material only after checking that the destination accepts the format. If you choose the Nuvquerio vault, the browser encrypts the item with your vault passphrase before upload. Losing that passphrase can make saved vault items unrecoverable.
- Test the destination's recovery flow
- Store a copy separate from the device it protects
- Avoid keeping the only copy in a vault that requires the inaccessible account
A recovery code is a spare key, not a login policy
The generated values are candidates. A destination service must associate each one with the right account, verify it during recovery, mark it consumed and prevent replay. Nuvquerio performs none of those destination-side steps, so do not assume that a displayed batch is already active or one-time.
- Create or replace the codes in the destination's own settings
- Confirm redemption invalidates each code
- Keep recovery material away from the password it recovers
Plan for the day you need it
Recovery often happens under stress, on a new device, or after losing a phone. Before relying on any code, make sure you can find it without the account or device it is meant to recover. A sealed offline copy or an independent password manager may be more useful than a second copy inside the same locked ecosystem.
- Test recovery before an emergency, where the service permits
- Tell a trusted person how to locate the physical backup without revealing its content
- Replace the whole batch after use or suspected exposure, following destination rules
Do not confuse recovery formats
An eight-character activation code for Nuvquerio grants access to this product once. A recovery-code batch generated in the workspace is unrelated: it is only candidate secret material for another system. Wallet recovery mnemonics follow their own standards and must come from the official wallet workflow.
- Activation codes are single-use account invitations
- Generated recovery candidates are not automatically registered
- Wallet mnemonics are not generated by this release
Security is a workflow, not a label.
